Consultation on the European Food SCP Round Table draft report: ‘Continuous Environmental Improvement’

 

 

Target group(s)

All citizens and organisations are welcome to contribute to this consultation. Contributions are particularly sought from all stakeholders of the food production chain: suppliers to the agricultural sector, farmers and agri-cooperatives, agricultural trade, food and drink industries, packaging value chain, transport & logistics operators, retailers, packaging recovery organisations, waste industry, consumer groups, environmental organisations and regulators.

Objective of the consultation

This consultation seeks views on the draft report:

 

Continuous Environmental Improvement

This report identifies and prioritises major environmental challenges along the various stages of the different food and drink chains, including consumption. It also identifies priority areas for continuous environmental improvement, considering the respective responsibilities of the various players along the food value chain, and identifies priority areas for targeted sustainability R&D and eco-innovation in these areas.

Results of the consultation and next steps

This consultation will close on 30 September 2011. The European Food SCP Round Table welcomes responses to the questions asked in this consultation and about issues arising from the proposed document and any other relevant issues.

Responses should be sent to the Secretariat by email or by hard copy to the addresses shown above.

Responses will be taken into consideration before the report is finalised and tabled for adoption by the European Food SCP Round Table plenary on 8 December 2011.  

 

Protection of personal data

The Secretariat will hold a copy of consultation responses. Responses will be published on www.food-scp.eu and will be made available to all members of the Round Table. Members of the Round Table are not allowed to use your data for interests outside the Food SCP Round Table.

The personal data collected and further processed are data necessary for the participation in the public consultation, such as name/surname/profession/postal & email addresses/phone number/fax number. If you do not wish this information to be disclosed please indicate this on the questionnaire. It does not mean that we will treat your response to the consultation as confidential, just your personal data.

Your personal data will be part of a list of contact details for the purpose of contacting you in the future in the context of Food SCP Round Table activities. If you do not agree to this, please indicate this on your response sheet.

We will keep your data as long as necessary for the treatment of the replies and follow-up action but no longer than one year from the end of the consultation.
